EDIT: Alright, now I'm going to talk about all these crazy ideas that home schoolers have about public schoolers.
Now, have you ever heard those home schoolers who say public school is a place of the devil? That if you go to public school you're going to lose your salvation? I have. And already I'm losing my salvation.........ok, just kidding. Actually I think public school has been helping me a lot more than home schooling would, but I'll get back to this part later. Anyways, a lot of Christians say that you shouldn't go to public school, or you'll be surrounded by fools. So non-believers are fools? Even if that's not what they meant, that's what it looks like they're saying. What will happen if every Christian stops going to public school? Those non-believers are going to take into the lies of public school like evolution, Mormonism (Latter-day Saints), that it's not wrong to say the F-word, and much more. No one will ever witness to these people. Now I will admit that most of the people talk about things that I wont mention, but I still think public school is good. Why do homeschoolers say things about public school? Probably because they've never gone, and they just go by what they hear. They believe everything their parents tell them, everything their church tells them, their friends tell them things. Public school helps prepare a person for the world. When you graduate and you're on your own you'll encounter the things that you'll see at school, and you wont be ready for it. You may even encounter worse things.
I'll do the ideas of a public schooler later. Some of them are true btw.

ReplyDeleteI am from TDW forums as Charrend. I really like what you said here! I do think that some homeschoolers [me included] have thought that public school is evil. But now I dont believe that it is evil. But I do think that for some people homeschooling may be better just because when you homeschool, your parents are choosing what you learn and not the government. To me it seems scary that the government decides what is taught to some extent in schools because when they do that, they sometimes are deciding what the next generation believes if the scholar is caught off guard, he could be falling for some of those beliefs. Other times, and this is my case, homeschooling might be better for me just because of going to so many different school situations [public school included] i have holes in my learning. Please do not take this personally. I think you said this in a very unbiased way and I am not the least git offended by what you said. I respect what you say on here very much. Keep going

ReplyDeleteWell when you hear things that you aren't sure about you can just tell your parents, and let them show you the right things. I love to see what kind of things they teach. And then look them up to see if everything is true. It's fun......for me at least.
BTW you spelled "bit" wrong.
